Allparts

Thanks for the Journey

Just a brief note as I launch into ‘retirement’ a few days before my 70th birthday (still think I’m about 23!).

As some of you may remember, we started in the guitar parts business  in 1995 as we took over Pincott’s Parts for Guitars, and then, as business increased with Allparts Music Corporation from Houston, USA, we became the distributor for Allparts in the UK & Eire.

We’ve seen technology change as we moved from being an old-fashioned mail order business to a fully on-line integrated e-commerce operation.

Thank you to all the many customers over the years (thousands!) - some with almost daily orders as busy shops helping other people make music, and some just one-offs to keep a treasured guitar going.

Thank you, too, to those who’ve worked for us over the years and especially to Chris who after 20 years seems to know any and every part number, even Fender ones!

I'm not really retiring - I’ve still got 4 guitars to build/rebuild; a 1954 BSA A7SS to keep on the road;  my local adult literacy charity - Read Easy Chilterns, to grow and develop - our current target is to help 50 adults learn to read; and an allotment to keep under control and a family to look after.

So I wish Alex & his team all the best as they take the business forward.  I may see you at a show sometime, catching up on news and views.

All the best,

Andy Gaze
